Connected devices can extend a digital health program into monitoring, diagnostics, adherence, therapeutics, wellness, and other real-world activities. Adding the device itself, however, introduces responsibilities beyond establishing connectivity. Devices must be associated with users, data must reach appropriate services, events may trigger workflows or communications, exceptions need handling, and people may need to review or act on device-generated information. As the number of devices, users, and services grows, these responsibilities become part of the broader operation.
Integrate devices as participating capabilities
Stratoum allows connected devices and their supporting systems to participate within the same operational environment as applications, workflows, communications, AI services, external services, and people. Device events can contribute to operational state and initiate defined actions without requiring a separate operating model around the device.
A measurement might enter an existing workflow, trigger an alert, initiate a communication, create a task, or become available to another service. The program determines how the event participates based on defined workflows, permissions, governance, and operating rules.
Support different device architectures
Connected products can have very different technical requirements. Some communicate directly with cloud services, while others depend on mobile applications, gateways, middleware, vendor platforms, or specialized protocols. A program may also use devices from multiple manufacturers or introduce new device types over time.
Our engineering team can develop firmware, middleware, device-cloud interfaces, APIs, data services, and other device-specific technology required for the implementation. Stratoum then coordinates those capabilities within the broader program.
Expand without creating device silos
Device initiatives can become separate technology environments when each product develops its own user management, communications, workflows, administration, and integrations. That duplication increases development and maintenance requirements and can fragment the customer and operational experience.
Using common operational infrastructure allows those responsibilities to be shared where appropriate. New devices can be introduced through the interfaces and workflows they require while continuing to participate in the same governed operation.
This creates a foundation for expanding connected-device capabilities while maintaining consistent operational control across the broader digital health program.
