Add New Services without Rebuilding

Expand your offering without rebuilding the platform

A digital health program may be operating successfully when the next opportunity appears: add virtual consultations, remote monitoring, laboratory services, pharmacy, connected devices, AI services, new communications, or another customer experience. The new capability itself may be readily available. The work begins when it has to participate in everything already operating around it. Users may need new permissions, workflows must incorporate additional steps, information has to move between systems, communications need new triggers, administrators need visibility, and exceptions have to be handled. When the existing platform was not designed for this kind of change, each new service can become another substantial development project.

Extend the operation instead of reconstructing it

Stratoum provides a common operational foundation through which new capabilities can participate in the existing program. Applications and services already performing useful functions can remain in place, while additional capabilities are connected through shared workflows, governance, configuration, operational state, administration, and communications. A new telehealth service, for example, can be incorporated into enrollment, scheduling, payment, consultation, follow-up, and support without requiring those other capabilities to be recreated around it.

Keep capabilities independently evolvable

This approach also affects future change. A program may replace a communications provider, introduce a different AI service, add another connected device, or change a customer application. Stratoum is designed so participating capabilities can be upgraded, replaced, reconfigured, or removed without requiring corresponding changes throughout unrelated parts of the operation. The program retains greater flexibility to select technologies based on current requirements rather than allowing earlier implementation decisions to determine future choices.

Use engineering for what is actually new

Some additions require technical work. Our engineering team can develop adapters, APIs, device interfaces, workflows, applications, or specialized functionality needed for the new service. That engineering can be scoped around the specific requirement while Stratoum continues to provide the reusable operational infrastructure. This limits the amount of software that must be created and subsequently maintained for each expansion.

Improve the economics of adding services

When every service requires substantial changes across a custom platform, expansion carries recurring development cost, implementation time, testing, and maintenance. A reusable operational foundation allows more of that infrastructure to be carried forward. Programs can invest in the service-specific capabilities that create value while maintaining a common system for operating them.
