Scale without Rebuilding

Grow across programs, customers, and services

A digital health program can be relatively straightforward when its scope is limited. Growth introduces variation. More customers may require different workflows and integrations. New services introduce additional applications and operational processes. Different programs may require their own permissions, communications, policies, and user experiences. If each requirement is implemented as another extension of custom software, growth can steadily increase the amount of technology that must be developed, tested, maintained, and changed.

Establish a common operational foundation

Stratoum provides reusable infrastructure across programs, customers, services, and operating models. Applications, integrations, workflows, governance, administration, operational state, communications, and other capabilities can participate through a common architecture rather than being assembled separately for every expansion.

Configuration allows many differences to be expressed without creating new software. A program can change available services, workflows, permissions, communications, branding, or other operating parameters while continuing to use the same underlying foundation.

Reuse what has already been developed

Growth becomes more efficient when previous work can be carried forward. Existing integrations, adapters, workflows, applications, and operating patterns can be reused wherever requirements are shared. New capabilities can be added to that foundation and made available for subsequent programs and deployments.

Our engineering team can address requirements that cannot be satisfied through existing capabilities or configuration. This may include a new integration, connected-device interface, specialized application, backend service, or other functionality. Where appropriate, that work can strengthen the reusable infrastructure available for future implementations.

Control the economics of complexity

A custom platform can support growth, but every addition creates an asset that the program must continue to own and maintain. Customer-specific implementations compound that responsibility when similar functionality is recreated in slightly different forms.

Stratoum provides maintained operational infrastructure through a subscription model, with additional engineering scoped separately when required. This makes more of the technology foundation predictable while directing custom engineering toward requirements that create specific value.

The scaling model is therefore based on carrying forward a growing body of reusable operational infrastructure. New customers, services, and programs can draw from what already exists while introducing the configuration, integrations, and specialized capabilities their requirements demand.
